The six-time national awardee was seen in a video taking a pledge not to spread litter, speaking in both Hindi and Marathi. In that, Amitabh mispronounced the Marathi word “kachra”, which means garbage. It went onto the pages of social media where people started criticizing him.

Amitabh apologizes on the spot with a clarification video immediately after he knows that he is in a mistake and clears it with a new video of the correct pronunciation. In the message of his new post, he mentioned that Sudesh Bhosle – his friend had pointed out his mistake and wanted to correct it.

I feel that the social media users appreciated his humility. In fact, one fan had written, “No problem, sir, it was a small mistake,” and another offered, “You are a great, kind, and generous person.“
