SSaudi Government Allows Muslims to Perform Nikah in Haram Sharif and Masjid-ul-Nabawi

Saudi government allow Muslims to perform marriage contracts at Mecca and Madina. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah started this project with the goal of improving pilgrims’ and tourists’ experiences.

According to marriage authority Musaed Al Jabri, it is acceptable in Islam to perform marriage rituals in these hallowed locations. Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) performed a companion’s marriage in a mosque, which he used as an example.

Al Jabri clarified that it has long been customary in Medina, particularly in small-space households, to exchange marriage contracts at the Prophet’s Mosque.
The program invites businesses to come up with innovative ways to host wedding ceremonies while honoring the locations’ purity. Worshippers not to be disturb during ceremonies. Participants are advised to abstain from excessive food and beverages.
