Israeli Strikes Kill 55 People in Gaza Today

Israeli strikes kill 55 people in Gaza today, marking another deadly chapter in the ongoing war. According to Al-Jazeera, the attacks occurred over the past 24 hours and targeted multiple areas across the region.

One of the deadliest airstrikes struck Bureij in central Gaza. At least 23 people died in this strike alone. In a separate incident, 10 Palestinians were killed while seeking aid from a US-backed organisation. Gaza’s health ministry confirmed both reports.

Medical workers faced horrific scenes. Victims were rushed to Al-Awda and Al-Aqsa hospitals. Doctors said they spent over 30 minutes retrieving bodies from the rubble.

The Government Media Office accused Israeli forces of opening direct fire on starving civilians gathered for aid. Al Jazeera said at least 62 more people were injured in this brutal attack.

Journalist Targeted During Coverage

Israeli strikes kill not only civilians but also journalists covering the war. Moataz Raja, a Palestinian journalist, was assassinated while reporting from Gaza City.

The Gaza Journalists Syndicate said Raja was in a civilian car on al-Nafaq Street when an Israeli aircraft targeted it. He died instantly.

With his death, the number of journalists killed in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has risen to 221. This alarming figure highlights the dangers faced by media personnel in conflict zones.

Many consider these attacks intentional attempts to silence reporting. The international community has yet to hold Israel accountable.

Israeli Strikes Kill: Global Outcry Over War Crimes and Humanitarian Crisis

As Israeli strikes kill more civilians, global condemnation grows louder. Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian ambassador to the UN, said Israel uses “aid as a weapon of war.”

Gaza’s health ministry reported 3,785 deaths since a ceasefire collapsed on March 18. The total death toll has now reached 53,939. Most victims are civilians.

The war has forced 90% of Gaza’s two million residents to flee their homes. Hunger is widespread. Infrastructure lies in ruins.

Since October 2023, Israeli attacks have killed at least 61,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children. These atrocities have prompted legal actions.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli leaders in November. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant face war crimes charges.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice.
