Proudly Introducing Hania Aamir: A Rising Star! 🌟🎬

Hareem Farooq’s Role in Shaping Hania’s Journey:
The force behind Pakistan’s entertainment industry, Hareem Farooq is more than an actress. As a producer, she mentors and shapes the careers of some of television’s highest-grossing names. In this behind-the-scenes conversation with host Ahmad Ali Butt, Hareem talks about her career, her love for production and fans, and her role in kickstarting that of a young icon – Hania Aamir.
From Theatre to Television: Hareem’s Trajectory:
Her family were doctors and bureaucrats, so she couldn’t rely on the usual industry connections that propel young hopefuls into Bollywood cinemas. Instead, bit-parts in Islamabad on the little-known stage gave Hareem a springboard, which soon became a jumping-off point. ‘I had reached the saturation point,’ she said. What next? Well, TV of course.
But TV wasn’t a walk in the park either. When Hareem was approached for the role of Sajeela, the negotiation was quick. ‘They told me: “Adnan Siddiqui is our lead, Sanam Jung is our second lead, you will be the villain and this is shot in Turkey.” They told me such little information, such little scope of the character, the gist that you know this character negatively or positively and I said maybe I can do it and just took the challenge and gave it a life of its own.’ The show, Mere Humdum Mere Dost, received mediocre reviews, with Hareem’s character described as ‘troubling’ in the daily Dawn newspaper.
Janaan: A Turning Point:
Hareem’s first produced film, Janaan (2016), turned out to be a hit. So did the notion of finding and nurturing new talent. One person the industry raved about was Hania Aamir, an unknown at the time. But rather than cast herself, Hareem chose to cast Hania. Why? Why not cast herself when she’s brilliant, beautiful and talented? Hareem explained: ‘I had a better shot.’ What she meant by that was: ‘I saw potential in Hania; I wanted to be a part of that.’
The Power of Mentorship:
Hareem’s lessons are straightforward: Here were these young girls who had become famous on social media, but it didn’t come naturally to them. It was hard work hence I wanted to tell them to go on camera and act naturally. It is rewarding to know that I have contributed to Hania Aamir’s career. She is a conscious lawyer and she understands that mentorship is not about shining [the mentor] but about others. Mentorship is the give you get. Hareem has invested in Aamir’s success – a reflection of her investment in her industry.
Hania Aamir: A Talent That Shines Bright:
We all fall in love with her smile and her versatility. She is that new-age girl who is present in Janaan and in other recent hit dramas. She can bring the house down in a song sequence but she can also make you cry in every spouse’s worst nightmare show.
A Bright Future Ahead:
Now that Hania has become a star, we toast both her and Hareem, for showing us that educated and self-reliant mothers can have great daughters. Cheers to these two women and their soaring dreams! 🥂🌟
