Israel Attacks Yemen: US Joins in Airstrikes

Israel attacks Yemen in a powerful military response, joining forces with the United States. The airstrikes targeted several strategic areas in Yemen. These include the vital Hodeida port and Sanaa, the capital city. This sharp escalation follows a Yemeni missile strike that hit close to Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport.

These attacks followed just hours after US air raids hit Sanaa. The strikes in Sanaa targeted the city center and the airport road. According to Huthi officials, 16 people were injured. Their health ministry provided these figures.
Israel’s involvement was confirmed by an anonymous official. The source told AFP that Israeli warplanes took part in the military action. This marks one of the most direct involvements of Israel in the Yemen conflict to date.
Israel Attacks Yemen After Missile Strike Hits Near Tel Aviv Airport
Just a day before the airstrikes, Yemen’s Huthi rebels fired a missile into Israel. It landed inside the perimeter of Ben Gurion International Airport. This was the first time a missile from Yemen struck so close to Tel Aviv. An AFP reporter inside the airport described hearing a loud, powerful blast.
The Huthis claimed full responsibility. They said they launched a “hypersonic ballistic missile.” They also warned of future strikes on Israeli airports. Their aim, according to their statement, is to impose a complete air blockade on Israel. The strike left a large crater near a parking area and injured six civilians. Several airlines temporarily suspended their flights.
Escalation Prompts Israeli Warning, Iran Denies Involvement
Following the attack, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded with strong words. He said Israel had acted against the Huthis before and would do so again. He also promised multiple future responses.
He published a video message, stating, “It won’t happen in one bang, but many.” On the platform X, he also warned Iran, saying Israel would choose the right time to respond. Iran, however, denied its role. Officials said the Huthi strike was an independent action. Moreover,They added that the attack was in support of the Palestinians.
In response to Netanyahu’s threats, Iran issued a warning of its own. The country said it would defend itself against any attack. Iran’s foreign ministry promised consequences if Israel or the US launched any strikes on Iranian soil.
Flights Resume, but Tensions Soar in Middle East
Despite the dramatic escalation, Ben Gurion Airport reopened quickly. Israel’s aviation authority confirmed the airport is fully operational. Yet, tensions remain dangerously high.
This crisis may lead to broader conflict in the region. As Israel attacks Yemen, and with the US joining in, international reactions may follow. Regional stability is now at serious risk.
