Kamala Harris made history as the first Black woman to run for U.S. President. She’s been through a lot to reach this point in her career – from district attorney to Vice President. She’s had to overcome obstacles on the way.

A Trailblazing Career

 She served as district attorney in California, becoming the first Black woman to be elected as district attorney of San Francisco, and the first woman of colour to be elected as attorney general of California.  If the US vice president Kamala Harris is elected president, she might change the world – from the Russia-Ukraine war to the issues with Israel and Palestine. 

Russia-Ukraine War

 Harris is likely to remain an advocate for Ukraine, as she has been a supporter of Ukraine’s sovereignty and has strongly backed sanctions against Russia, but she is also likely to push for more diplomatic means to end the conflict. She could use her analytic skills to compel both Russia and Ukraine to return to the negotiating table and find a peaceful solution.

 As a child of mixed ethnicity and background worked in diverse communities, Harris’s foreign policy could be an extension of her domestic policy.
