KP Government Announces Financial Support for Deserving Brides

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has launched a financial support for brides. Brides will get a Rs200,000 incentive as part of this campaign during mass wedding celebrations throughout the province. The goal is to help over 4,000 women by lowering the financial burden of marriage.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur hosted a high-level meeting. During which numerous social welfare programs addressed, including the utilization of Zakat and dowry funds. These funds in future will used to support the new welfare programs. So that more individuals can benefit from them.

In addition to marriage grants, the K-P administration will introduce the “Orphan Card” scheme. This project will pay Rs5,000 per month to orphans attending school, ensuring that they can continue their education without financial burden.

Other welfare initiatives include paying for Panahgahs (shelter homes), supplying wheelchairs to impaired pupils, and creating old-age homes with recreational amenities. The government is also planning a “ration card” program to provide food assistance to widows.
