Pakistan Delegation 2025: UK Visit Follows US Talks

Pakistan delegation 2025 arrived in the UK following major diplomatic discussions in New York. The group, led by former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, includes nine top officials. Their mission is to promote peace, defend Pakistan’s stance on the India conflict, and engage with global powers.
The delegation previously met United Nations representatives, US diplomats, and officials from member states. Their focus was presenting Pakistan’s position on the recent military escalation with India. These meetings aimed to reduce regional tensions and push for international mediation.
The April 22 attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir sparked renewed hostilities. India blamed Pakistan, calling it an act of terrorism. Pakistan rejected the accusation and responded with diplomatic efforts and limited military defense. The cross-border exchanges caused growing global concern.

Pakistan delegation 2025: Kashmir and Water Disputes at Center Stage
It also highlighted the urgent need for renewed talks on Kashmir and water sharing. Former foreign secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani emphasized Pakistan’s peaceful intentions. He insisted that all issues, including the Kashmir conflict and Indus Waters Treaty, must be resolved through dialogue.

Lawmaker Khurram Dastgir warned that India’s suspension of the treaty puts 240 million people at risk. He described the water issue as one of survival for Pakistan. The delegation made clear that any peace process must include this vital topic. They told US officials that ignoring the treaty threatens long-term regional balance.
Calls for Neutral Investigations and Mediation
Pakistan delegation 2025 stressed that global powers must help de-escalate tensions. Dastgir stated that India rejects both neutral investigations and peace talks. He explained that while the US thought the ceasefire required no further action, the region still needs active diplomatic intervention.
Senator Sherry Rehman confirmed that the delegation aimed to keep Kashmir and water issues on the world agenda. She said ignoring these problems now will only invite deeper instability. The group believes coordinated global mediation can prevent future conflict.
Bilawal’s Message: Dialogue Must Be Inclusive
Pakistan delegation 2025 continued its mission in London by engaging with British leaders. UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy had recently visited Islamabad and New Delhi. His presence showed growing international concern. Although he stayed silent on India talks, his trip signaled rising interest in regional peace.
Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari urged Washington to pressure India toward full dialogue. He warned that using terrorism as an excuse for aggression only worsens tensions. He said any peace process must keep the Kashmir issue at its core. Speaking to Chinese media, Bilawal also called on the Pakistani diaspora to promote peace, unity, and stability.
