Cities affected included Sialkot, Muridke, Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad. The strikes caused the deaths of 26 civilians. Victims included women, children, and older adults. At least 46 people were injured.

India targeted key infrastructure sites, including Bilal Mosque in Muzaffarabad and Abbas Mosque in Kotli. Two teenagers lost their lives in one of the mosque strikes. Many others suffered injuries. India claimed these areas had terrorist camps, but provided no evidence.

The NSC rejected these allegations. They highlighted that international media visited the supposed sites. These journalists found no such camps. Yet, India moved forward with deadly strikes, choosing political gain over truth.

Pakistan Strike Back India: Air Defence and Strategic Impact

The Pakistan Air Force responded with precision and strength. Defensive operations led to the downing of five Indian aircraft and one drone. These included Rafale and MiG-29 fighter jets and an Israeli Heron drone. Pakistan did not violate Indian airspace, yet defended its own borders with care.

Lt. Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed no Pakistani jets crossed the border. He stressed that Pakistan acted within international law. Meanwhile, India endangered civil aviation. At least 57 international flights were active during the strikes. Passengers’ lives were put at risk.

India also targeted the Nauseri Dam of the Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project. Experts described this as a dangerous step. Attacking water projects violates global conventions. The NSC labelled India’s actions as unlawful and cowardly. They stressed Pakistan’s right to defend its sovereignty under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
