Pakistan’s First Indigenous Navy Warship, “Jinnah-Class Frigate”, Said Naval Chief

Pakistan’s first indigenously designed frigate-sized navy warship. “Jinnah Class Frigate” is currently under development, according to a statement by Admiral Naveed Ashraf, naval chief. Pakistan is to overcome the difficulties brought by the intricate and changing threats in the maritime environment by using naval warship.

A frigate-sized naval warship is a class of naval vessel that is usually 100–150 meters long and 2,000–4,000 tons in weight.

By expanding its fleet, Pakistan has been working hard in recent years to boost its naval warship capabilities. The PNS Babur and PNS Hunain are two contemporary naval warships. Intended to strengthen Pakistan’s operational and maritime security.

Babur and Hunain recently put into service as part of this endeavor. Which is designed to perform multiple tasks such as air defense, surface combat and anti-submarine operations.

Additionally, Naval Admiral Ashraf emphasized that the Pakistan Navy is concentrating on acquiring cutting-edge naval warship. Platforms that make use of force multipliers and cutting-edge technologies. The goal of this plan is to increase the Navy’s total power. A major advancement in Pakistan’s attempts to strengthen its naval defense. Domestic shipbuilding capabilities is the creation of the “Jinnah Class Frigate”.

The Navy has also stepped-up efforts to buy and develop unmanned technologies. Pakistan recently acquired the Chinese CH-4, a medium-altitude, long-endurance combat drone. Domestic efforts are underway to develop remotely operated and autonomous surface and underwater vehicles too.
