Pakistan sent $262.7 million worth of sugar to Afghanistan between July 2024 and January 2025. Compared to the $5.9 million exported during the same time last year. This is a significant increase.

But the growing costs have sparked worries about potential shortages of sugar in the nation. Many think that if Pakistan start exporting sugar in this large scale. It may become more difficult for local customers to purchase it at reasonable costs.
